From December 8th to 9th, 2018, the "Symposium on the Progress of Diagnosis and Treatment of Children's Growth and Nutritional Diseases in Shaanxi Province and the Continuing Education Study Class in Shaanxi Province" was successfully held at the Ancient Capital Culture Hotel. This meeting was attended by the Shaanxi Provincial Health Association School Health Organized by the Health Committee and hosted by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
The conference invited a number of experts from across the country and the province to share with you the hot issues in the field of children's growth and development. During the meeting, Xiao Yanfeng, the second affiliated hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, gave a wide speech on the intestinal flora and children's metabolic abnormalities. From gestation to 1-2 years after birth, it is the most critical period for determining the nutritional and health status of a person's life. It is a window to prevent adult chronic diseases. Abnormalities in the intrauterine environment during pregnancy can lead to adverse pregnancies such as premature birth and macrosomia, and the distribution of microbes in maternal women is an important factor affecting the intrauterine environment. In healthy adults, the distribution of intestinal flora remains essentially constant, and the establishment of the flora in the body is mainly concentrated in early infants and young children. More and more studies have found that the abnormal colonization of intestinal flora in early life is closely related to immune and metabolic diseases, including allergic diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, type I diabetes and obesity. There is a significant difference in the composition of the intestinal flora between the children and the healthy group. Therefore, it is of great clinical significance to pay attention to microbial colonization in early life and its influencing factors.
In 2011, the National Health and Health Commission issued a list of strains that can be applied to infant foods, including Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001, Bifidobacterium lactis HN019, Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM, and Bifidobacterium lactis Bi-07. Director Xiao called on teachers to pay attention to the strain number when using probiotics, because the efficacy of probiotics depends on the strain rather than the species that you are used to.
Through the good academic exchange platform set up by this conference, the development and diagnosis and treatment level of children's endocrine and growth and development fields have been promoted, so that it can better serve the majority of patients!
